Some paintings come easy. Deft. They happen all at once, as the necessary consequence of a creative outpouring. Others are long-labored, and many times repainted: the mangled manifestation of a lengthy struggle between art and artist. LYDIA is the latter, and let me tell you... she puts the "PAIN" in painting.
